Carat Casino

Casino etiquette

Carat Casino is not only about the great game — it is about a distinct atmosphere where composure and good manners are valued. A few simple rules will help you feel confident at any table and make the evening pleasant for every guest. This guide gathers the customs of a European casino.

Before you play

Cash is not accepted for bets at the tables — exchange it for chips at the cash desk or directly with the dealer. Before taking a seat, check the minimum and maximum limits and read the rules of the game you have chosen. If anything is unclear, the dealer or floor inspector will be glad to explain.

At the table

Place your bets calmly and before the dealer announces "No more bets" — once the call is made, chips on the layout cannot be moved. Do not touch your bet once the round has begun, and never handle another player's chips. Show respect to the dealer and fellow players, and offer advice only when it is asked for.

Tipping and tokes

Thanking the dealer is a kind tradition rather than an obligation. A tip (toke) is usually given as a chip handed to the dealer with a word of thanks, or as a small bet placed on their behalf. The amount is always entirely up to you.

Phones and photography

Photography and video in the gaming hall are restricted — this rule protects the privacy of our guests. Phone calls are best taken away from the gaming area so as not to distract those around the table. During a hand, it is courteous to put the phone away.

Responsible gaming

Play only with funds you are prepared to spend, and set yourself a limit for the evening in advance. Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money. Entry is permitted to guests aged 21 and over; if the game stops being enjoyable, take a break.
